Emo Emu

Sebenarnya I nak update blog. Nak tunjuk yang I rajin.
Tapi I sebenarnya malas.

Hey. Dulu muka kamu macam dinosaur jugak, okay.

Lacrimosa Concubine Dumbledore

Can we please stop being emo now? Stop stopstop. No, really. I don't care that emo songs have the best lyrics, I don't care that being emo makes me feel, I don't care that I don't care, or that I care.

I'm Too Awesome To Be Emo.
And So Are You.
All Of You.

Take a deep breath.
Stop being sad. Stop kicking yourself. Stop feeling all those lousy feelings. Stop it. They're never going to turn into gold. They just turn into high blood pressure or visits to the psychiatrist. See? So unproductive. Go and take some Vitamin C please.

Let me help you, and myself, to be less emo (Dude, stop listening to Avenged Sevenfold. Please. And delete that A Fine Frenzy song I passed to you. They're all the devil's hand in disguise).

List Of Less Emo Stuff

1. Listen to Disney songs.
All of them. All day.

2. Watch How I Met Your Mother.
Every episode. When you're not at work.

3. Read My Life Is Average.
Do NOT read pleasefindthis.blogspot.com OR postsecret.blogspot.com. Don't even touch those links.

4. Wear a dress.
Applies to both genders. Heels optional.

5. I would suggest some type of exercise, but I know that people like you, you, you and I are just going to think about how miserable life is as they silently swim/ do situps/ jog/ whatever else it is people do as exercise. So. Do NOT EXERCISE. (Heh heh heh heh).

6. Potter Puppet Pals.

Ok, that's it. I'm not Dr Phil. Figure out your own self. There's only so much I can do to undo the curse of Damian Rice and his sap demon.

The Sky, The Sky!

I have been feeling pretty down lately.
Basic premise of how down:

Like when Doyle sacrificed himself on Angel.
Like after I read Tess and realised nothing has changed.
Like when Hayden Christensen became Darth Vader.
Like when Dragonheart sacrificed itself, despite being the last of its kind.

See? Pretty sad.
So, I decided to be more optimistic. How? By thinking optimistic thoughts.
Example of optimistic thoughts:

Ewan McGregor might walk into the office tomorrow.
I might find inspiration to write a bestseller.
It might rain tomorrow.
I might meet a member of the landed gentry and he will sweep me off my feet and back to Ireland or whatever and a castle and a solid British education.
There might be a geographical anomaly and Sarawak will turn into Los Angeles.

Wow. That so did not work. Except maybe the first one.
But I do feel happier.
Weeeee.

TIME

My boxes from university came today.
I managed to squeeze my life for three years into six little A4 paper boxes, a luggage bag and two midsize boxes.

I forgot to pack my pink mug.

Excuse me while I go and get maudlin.

The Stars Explode

Yesterday I watched Talentime with Heartbreaker and Katgirl.

I don't think I ever cried so much in one movie. And laughed.

Sepet was pretty cheesy, but Talentime was...not.

The script will break your heart. And so will the songs.

I am a sap, kind of, so I wept more than the other two.

Tapi gile puas hati nangis tengok movie ni. Seriously. One of the leads was a deaf-mute (with heartbreaker eyes) and he had some of the best lines in the movie. Like,

'I'm sorry that I can't speak.'

'I can teach you to speak in silence.'

'I will leave her if you ask me to, only, you have to help me to teach my heart to forget her. Because it doesn't know how to stop loving her.'

*sobsobfaaaaaaaarrrrrkksobsob*

Oh, and then there was that blasted song that kept dragging everyone to the edge of tears whenever it came on.

And it came on several times throughout the movie.

Tell me, can you really resist this:

don't go/I'll be lost without you by my side/lost and on my own/I'm falling for an angel

do you know/the stars explode and then they fade away/then they fade away

I'm sorry that I let you down/your eyes break my heart in two/my heart in two
